Genealogical Information

The Dumond's

It is believe that the Dumont are originally from France. There's no denying this fact, but where the inconsistancies occur is where the name of Dumond originates. The Dumont's (yes originally with a "t") was from the province of Poitou, France.

The Pitts

Not much information has been able to be gathered as of yet. This line of the Pitts go back only 3 generations to an Irish descendance. Actually, the area that I have not been able to verify is that they come from Ballyshannon, Donegal, Ireland. Calvin, John, and Robert Pitts have been the only Pitts that are in the ancestry line of Bernice Anna Pitts, the information is somewhat scarce. So to say the least, this investigation is on-going and will require a little more attention.

The Ladouceur's

The Grants

Not much information has been gathered concerning the Grant's. The only two (2) that appear in the family tree are Catherine Grant ( wife of calvin Pitts) and her parents (one John C. Grant and Catherine Cameron). Catherine Grant went by the name of Mabel as well. Even so, not much information has been able to be accumulated.

Although she is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Cornwall, Ontario, this is the only source of information gathered. This brick wall will soon be overcome so that I may share my new findings on this site. Thank you for your patience.
